When I was young the current bingo parlor on Royal Crest was a Safeway and there were a large amount of family oriented businesses. Including my favorite Games Galaxy. It always had all of the latest and greatest 8-bit time wasters. Up until a couple of years ago the area was crumbling with serious problem of vacancy in commercial and retail. When the air force base closed the everything to a downward direction. Many of the apartment complexes in the area are not taken care of as they were built in the 70's and not engineered for the soil conditions. It was more cost effective to slum lord the properties than to keep the maintenance up. This area has potential to be vibrant again and should be as it's a main corridor from the airport to downtown. What is the population in this area? WIll it be conducive to even place this type of system in while the city needs to find ways to increase the budget not decrease it.
